Book excerpt: Ryan Hirsch was in a near fatal motorcycle accident October 2, 2004, within the same month he was to deploy to Iraq, because he was in the Navy Reserves. This event occurred while Ryan was a prospect for a famous outlaw motorcycle gang. Ryan used to be unsure about the existence of God, but he saw him in all his glory in his eleven-month coma in several different hospitals. Ryan also saw God overcome a demon, who only wanted Ryan to die. Now he is full of thanks to our heavenly father and is currently taking college classes at a community college and a Bible college. Ryan wants to give the Lord praise, because without him he would have no spiritual or physical life.
