Book excerpt: During the 1960s, a number of Kentuckians recognized the need to collect and disseminate the official record of the governors of the Commonwealth. Their efforts culminated in the creation of the Kentucky Advisory Commission on Public Documents, which recommended the publication of this series. This volume is designed to provide a convenient record of the Nunn administration. It is a selective collection of documents emanating from Governor Nunn's office, consisting mainly of public addresses which best reflect the concerns of that administration. Included in this volume is an appendix that provides a complete listing of speeches delivered by Governor Nunn during his four-year term of office.
