Book excerpt: This book can be used in the classroom, or for self-study purposes. The self-study edtion includes the answer key in a separate booklet. Idioms are very important in English and quite difficult for students to learn. Students have to learn idiomatic expressions the way they learn other vocabulary. 120 of the most common Idioms that students will come across are dealt with in this book. This book aims to build up students' knowledge of Idioms through full-colour illustrations, which are accompanied by graded exercises. Throughout each unit, the new Idioms introduced are recycled, and students are exposed to every new Idiom on seven (7) different occasions. It consists of 10 Units; there are also 2 Review Units, (units: 1-5, and 6-10) which revise and consolidate the Idioms and the Phrasal verbs that students have already been taught. This book is intended for intermediate & upper-intermediate level students (B2), or even more advanced students.
