Book excerpt: The authors present a preliminary measurement of the branching fraction of the B meson decay B° -->?1(1260) -->?+?+?−. The data were recorded with the BABAR detector at the SLAC B factory PEP-II and correspond to 124 x 106 B{bar B} pairs produced in e+e− annihilation through the?(4S) resonance. They find the branching fraction B(B° -->?1+(1260)?−) = (42.6 ± 4.2 ± 4.1) x 10−6. The fitted values of the?1(1260) parameters are m{sub {alpha}1} = 1.19 ± 0.02 GeV/c2 and?{sub {alpha}1} = 312 ± 55 MeV/c2.
