The bulk of the series consists of letters Haller wrote to his wife, Betty, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. There are also several letters Betty wrote to her husband towards the end of 1945 as well as a letter from Hallerâ€TMs mother. Locations include: aboard the SS William Hawkins in the South Pacific; Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; New York, New York; Port Arthur, Texas; and Italy.
