The regions covered could not be more different, separated by language, customs and history as well as by gastronomy and wines. After a chapter on key grape varieties Evans explores each region in turn, relating its history, exploring current trends in winemaking and viticulture and profiling the key producers. There is also a chapter on Spain's sparkling wines.
